The easiest and fastest way to reach Malapascua Island is by plane. Cebu Pacific operates daily flights from Manila and Cebu City directly to Maya Airport located in the municipality of Daanbantayan.

The flight takes approximately 60 minutes from either city. From there, you’ll need to take a van or tricycle ride to Malapascua Island which will take another hour or two depending on traffic.

 

By Boat

There are also ferry services available connecting Malapascua Island with mainland Cebu. One option is OceanJet, which offers a ferry service daily from the port of Hagnaya in San Remigio town or Danao City in northern Cebu.

Alternatively, SuperCat has daily schedules that originate at Pier 1 in Cebu City stopping at Port Batoroloco before reaching Malapascua Island. The trip could take up to five hours with short stops along the way so make sure you allot enough time for your trip if you decide to go by boat.

 

Other Options

There are shuttles running from Mactan-Cebu International Airport direct to Maya Airport. As well as some private car services from major cities in southern Cebu like Oslob, Moalboal, and Badian.
